File Transfer dengan Wifi PC to Android

Using WiFi File Transfer

Uploading files (from computer to Android phone/tablet)

Using the file list on the left side of the screen, navigate to the directory on your Android device that you would like to upload files to.
Click 'Select Files' inside the web interface to bring up a file chooser dialog.

In the dialog that appears, select the files you would like to transfer to your phone or tablet. You can select multiple files by either holding the left mouse button and dragging a selection box over them, or by holding the CTRL key on your keyboard and clicking them individually. CTRL-A selects all files in a directory.

If you have successfully selected a number of files, the result should look something like this:

Click 'Start Upload' and the files will be transferred to your phone:
The web interface will refresh automatically when the transfer finishes.
If for some reason the Flash uploader is not working properly for you, please use the link at the bottom of the upload panel to switch to the basic uploader. Due to problems with the Flash plugin on these platforms, we recommend Mac and Linux users use the basic upload form for very large files (100+ MB).

Downloading files (from Android phone/tablet to computer)

Method 1

Right-click the name of the file you would like to transfer to your computer and select 'save as' from the menu that appears:

Please note that this method will not work for directories. If you would like to download an entire directory, see 'Method 2'.

Method 2

Tick the checkboxes in front of the files or directories you would like to download to your computer and click the 'Download' button inside the action bar.

For security reasons, web browsers require users to confirm file downloads individually, so if you select 6 files for download, you will see 6 individual download dialogs. Directories will be transferred as a ZIP archive to avoid opening download dialogs for each file in the directory.

Method 3

This method is ideal if you want to transfer a large number of files, like for example a selection of 50 image files. By first packaging them into a ZIP archive, you will only need to confirm one download dialog rather than 50.
Tick the checkboxes in front of the files or directories you would like to download and click the 'Make Zip File' button inside the action bar.

Enter a name for the ZIP archive. You can use the default one (provided archive.zip doesn't already exist in the directory) or make up your own name.

Wait for the ZIP archive to be created, then download it to your computer using download method 1.

Viewing pictures

Viewing pictures inside folders

Viewing a folder containing image files, their file icons will be tiny thumbnail previews. Move the mouse pointer over the thumbnail image to view a larger version.

Click on the thumbnail icon to launch an image viewer inside the browser.

The image viewer allows you to navigate between images using the cursor keys on your keyboard, the arrow buttons below the image or simply click on the image to bring up the next one. Press Esc on your keyboard or click outside the image to close the image viewer.
By the way, if your pictures are not in chronological order, you may want to sort the files in the folder by date first. See sorting files.

If you prefer to view the image inside your browser without using the built-in image viewer, simply click on the file name instead of the file icon.

Viewing images inside the Gallery

Click on the 'Gallery' link inside the link bar at the top to bring up the image gallery. The gallery displays all pictures stored on the device, regardless of their location.

Inside the gallery, choose whether you would like to view pictures shot with the phone's camera or other images stored on the device.

Note that some devices use a non-standard directory structure, so pictures from the phone's camera may end up in 'Other pictures'.

Click on the thumbnail image to launch an image viewer inside the browser.

The image viewer allows you to navigate between images using the cursor keys on your keyboard, the arrow buttons below the image or simply click on the image to bring up the next one. Press Esc on your keyboard or click outside the image to close the image viewer.

If you prefer to view the image inside your browser without using the built-in image viewer, simply click on the file name instead of the thumbnail image.

Sorting files

WiFi File Transfer lets you sort files by name, date or size. To do that, simply click on 'Name', 'Date modified' or 'Size'.

This will sort the files in ascending order. If you want them sorted in descending order, simply click 'Name', 'Date modified' or 'Size' again:

Moving files

If you want to move files or folders from one folder to another, from the internal storage to the removeable memory card or vice versa, simply tick the checkboxes in front of them and click the 'Move' button in the action bar.

You will then be asked where the selected files and folders should be moved to. In this example we're moving 3 files from /sdcard/New Directory/Photos/ to /sdcard/New Directory/Photos/Best Pictures/:

Because the subdirectory 'Best Pictures' doesn't exist yet, WiFi File Transfer will create it and then move the files to this directory:

Hiding files

Android treats directories beginning with a period (.) as hidden, and files placed within such a directory will not be indexed by Android's media library. That means if you move a picture (see Moving files) from /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/ to (for example) /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/.hidden/ or /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/.backup/, it will no longer show up in gallery apps (or WiFi File Transfer's gallery for that matter).

The hidden file will still be accessible through WiFi File Transfer and file manager apps, but it will no longer be part of the media library. Please note that WiFi File Transfer will not display thumbnail previews for hidden files.
To 'unhide' files, simply move them back to their original location, or remove the period from the name of the hidden directory to unhide the entire directory.
